I adore the Mueller Park Trail up by our house. Will and I had been traversing it for years prior to the kids- spring, winter, fall...hike, bike, run... I love it. I hadn't been up there since having Henry because it seemed like too much work to take the kids on a hike. I knew at some point I'd be carrying both of them and that took the fun out of it for me. But with mi madre in tow we braved the trail, and it was one of the most fun things we've done this summer. So serene and gorgeous. The boys wore plaid, I chose inappropriate footwear, Milo threw rocks in the stream and Henry ate things that little boys love to eat but moms usually discourage (leaves, bugs, logs). We'll be heading back up that way very soon.
