Over the 24th of July weekend our friends the Grants invited us up to their cabin in Bear Lake(along with the Olsons) and it was so much fun! The weather was beautiful and we a great time just hanging out together. We went to Minnetonka Cave, went to the beach (my favorite part), played lots of games and ate lots of yummy food. Thanks again for the fun time, Bob and Christi! We need to go back soon!

Things I love
These are the things that I love: Pay Pal and Steep and Cheap. Here's why:
So I got that baby backpack of steep and cheap a couple weeks ago and I realized that it didn't come with the topper shade thing that the website showed it coming with. So I emailed steep and cheap and told them that I think my backpack was missing the topper and they said that since they don't have any more of those backpacks that I'll have to return it for a full refund. I told them that I liked the backpack and wanted to keep it and since a new topper would cost $30, that they could just refund me $30. I didn't think they would do this, but I got a response right away saying that the $30 would be refunded to my card. And it was just a couple of days later! Go steep and cheap!
So then Im on the Sherpani website and I found the topper that I needed to buy and when I was ready to checkout I saw the regular crap you have to fill out each time you buy something off the internet: name, address, phone number, credit card info, etc. Then I remembered that I had downloaded and installed the PayPal plugin that was supposed to take care of all this crap for you. I'd never used it before so I thought I'd give it a shot. So I clicked the little P that is now in my Internet Explorer toolbar and I logged into PayPal. Then wham! It filled out the whole page for me, all my personal info, name, address, and the credit card number! But whats cool is that it doesn't use a real credit card number. It uses a one time credit card number that is generated by PayPal. The funds are then taken out of your paypal account just like as if you bought something off ebay and used paypal. So, not only do you not have to fill out the information page, but your not putting your credit card number on the internet, so its safer in that respect. Im sold on the paypal plugin.

Baby Backpack Review
Love it! I love it and Miles loved it. I picked up the Sherpani Rumba baby carrier backpack off SteepandCheap last week and last night was the first time I've been able to use it. Milo, Sophie and I took a stroll up Holbrook Canyon in Bountiful. We only hiked for about an hour, but that was long enough to determine that the backpack was a good purchase. Milo was very comfertable in it. He stared at all the trees and stuff for about the first 40 minutes, and then for the last 20 minutes he slept. The backpack is actually designed for a woman's frame, so its a little small on me. Its not adjustable so I couldn't really get the weight to ride completely on my hips, but even with having it on my back for an hour it didn't get uncomfertable at all. I think the pack will be perfect for Erika and next year when Milo is bigger I might need to get a different one for me. Here are a few pics I took with my cel phone camera. Sorry the quality isn't too good.

Idea for a movie
Here is my good idea for a movie. You guys can tell me if it would be dumb or not. So I was just thinking that all alien movies are about aliens coming to earth and killing people and then somehow the humans survive and kill the aliens. Well, what if there was an alien movie about the aliens landing on earth and they try to be peaceful. Lets say that maybe their planet ran out of resources and they had to leave or they would all starve to death or something. So they land on Earth and they contact our leaders and try to figure out a way that we can live together and learn from each other. But the humans are very divided on whether or not we like the aliens here, so some of us are murdering the aliens and even law makers are divided on laws and how we should treat the aliens. So it turns into this huge milti-sided battle where half the aliens are trying to be peaceful and give us humans a chance, half the humans are trying to do the same, and the other half of the aliens think that the humans are an inferior species and want to kill us and the other half of the humans are scared of the aliens and want to kill them. So you've got friendships between aliens and humans developing and you've got civil wars going within each species.
Now that would be a good movie. It would make you think how you would react if an alien family moved in next door. It would be kind of like an extreme inter-racial moral dilemma. I think you could have one of four endings for this movie: 1) The aliens end up killing the humans and take earth for their own. 2) The humans kill the aliens and we realize that we are terrible beings for not being open to new species. 3) The aliens and the humans come to a treaty and the aliens cram into the eastern hemisphere of the world and the humans cram into the western hemisphere. We would probably build this huge wall that would go from the North Pole to the South Pole and back up to the North Pole on the other side of the Earth. 4)Humans and aliens learn to live in harmony and we all share the earth and everyone is happy. What do you guys think?
If there is already a movie out there like this let me know. If not please don't steal my idea because I will be pitching my idea to Hollywood soon.

Spirit Lake
This weekend we went on a fun little getaway to Spirit Lake, a cute little place up in the Uintas. We went with our friends the Pierces and stayed in a "cozy" little cabin (code for no electricity or plumbing). They had canoes and paddleboats to rent, a little lodge with a restaurant running on propane, and our own sweet little water spigot to make things extra homey. The only downfall was the bounty of mosquitos, but a little bug repellent fixed that pretty good. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to get away for a few days. Milo enjoyed it as well and did not get a single mosquito bite. I got 9 bites and Will got 5 (I win). Willy was mad that he forgot his fishing pole since there were lots of fish jumping in the lake; we will have to make another trip up soon.

Swim buddies!
Janelle and Ryker came up and went swimming with us today- it's so fun when its so hot out. The rec center made us buy these waterproof pants for them to wear over their swim diapers, but they only had pink left! Sad.
