Camp Radford

The Place: Redifish Lake in Stanley, ID. The Event: Camp Radford 2010
Attendees: Radfords, Lohmans, Labrums, Workmans, little Eric.

It was Henry's first camping experience and our first camping trip of the summer. The boys loved the tent, sticks, dirt, bugs, river, and being outside for four days straight. What they didn't love so much were the freezing temps at night and the never-ending sleep deprivation. We all pulled through though. It was so much fun and Redfish is absolutely gorgeous!

We organized a little friendly competition, familia a familia. Each family made shirts (of course-what's an event without team shirts?) and we made flags to hang above our tents...

Then prepared for battle at the Radford Summer Games.

Events included target shooting,
The Spider's Web,
A river dash (this got a little hairy. Terran lost his
Tevas. Semper Fi.),

Mentos shooters (followed by air rockets),

and few other events pitting each family against each other. Because who doesn't
love a little friendly competition?

The Ding Dong medals were worth all the effort.

The other days we hung out at the (freezing) lake, baked in the hot hot sun,
some went on a beautiful hike to a waterfall (don't drink the water next time Eric- ahem), went on a couple gorgeous runs, and ate lots of good food.
We had such a blast with Will's family. It had been a long time since we had all gotten together and it has been one of my favorite trips so far. See you all next year- same time, same place.
