An 80 degree Christmas

This year we spent a warm, perfect 80 degree week in Orlando for Christmas. It was so fun! I had never been to Disney World before, so we'll check that one off my list. All of Will's family was there for a big Christmas family reunion. Thanks Steve and Kim for such a wonderful time! It was so great!

Oh jeeze that's a lot of people.
I could eat those turkey legs all day. The best was when Will held his out for a bite and a seagull pooped right in the middle of it. Classic.
Milo thought Rafiki was hilarious!
Will is obviously pro kids-on-leashes. I remain against.
The Toy Story ride was so fun!

They gave us a sneak peak through the gates of Hell.
Oh wait, that's the "It's a Small World" ride.
My favorite day was Cocoa Beach. The weather was
perfect for boogie boarding!

Such a fun trip. It wasn't so fun to come back to 2 feet of snow though. I think a warm trip in the middle of winter is our new family tradition.

That sweater is really ugly...

Will and I thought we were so brilliant and funny when we came up with the idea of an Ugly Christmas Sweater party, when come to find out it's a nationwide phenomenon that everyone's already heard of. It was still fun even though we didn't invent it. We raided the DI and our mother's closets and hit the place where we knew we'd fit in seamlessly- the Chuck O' Rama (you know you love it). There were people there who's outfits were as good as ours, and they were just being festive! (And one girl in a full on wedding dress....?)

I felt really icky wearing a turtleneck all night. I'm sending out a decree right now that everyone should stop wearing turtlenecks. They're yucky. (P.S. I think Will's hair looks so good look that- even though he was trying to look weird.)

John was the winner and scored some sweet kinetic art for his festiveness.

Milo even got into the spirit.
After The Chuck we hit the Temple Square lights- so pretty and one of my favorite things to do each year. The boys were all snuggly and warm and cute.

All Things Christmas

One of the hugest pet peeves of Will and I is when everyone always says how stressful the holidays are. Shopping, family, parties- how will we possibly survive the holidays?! That's dumb and annoying- this season is the most fun fun of the whole year (although Will would say football season but he's not here, so I say Christmas). I want to be able to remember all the things we did for Milo's first Christmas, so here is the longest post of my life.

First up- Party with my siblings in Idy-ho:

My mom and I made white chocolate popcorn and dolled them up in these hot little bags. All my lucky neighbors got to enjoy them.

Wheeler Farm has Santa, cocoa, lights, a fire, a tractor ride, and creepy geese to top it off! Milo loved it! Especially Santa.

Here's an action shot from the tractor ride:

Some things we did not do this year:
Put up a Christmas tree (What?!?). Don't judge us- we're saving that for Disney World.
Hang lights on our house (we never have, actually).
Put blow up decorations and/or animated deer in our yard. We're just not that festive.

Coming up... Christmas in Disney World! 7 days and counting...

Quarantined

There have only been a few times during our marriage where Will and I have both been horribly sick and down for the count, and it's not so much fun. Add a little sick baby into the mix and it's pretty much the worst few days ever. Will lost his voice (which was kind of funny actually) and we all have been up most of the last few nights coughing and hacking rather than sleeping. I'm feeling better than Will and Milo, but sick babies and husbands are tough. If anyone has any extra chicken noodle soup lying around feel free to leave it on our doorstep (you probably don't want to come in).

The big 9-er

Little buddy Milo is a hot 9 months old!
Wieght- 18 lbs 9 oz (25%ile)
Hieght- 26 1/2 inches (5th %ile- hmmm. We've got a shorty, everyone.)

He's little but cute. We'll keep him. Even if he is still in some 3-6 mo clothes.
