I heart boys

These pictures were too cute not to post.

Milo's room redo

I've been meaning to get my remodeling projects posted- we'll start with Milo's room since it's the one closest to completion. We put Henry in the nursery and moved Milo into the office. I was so sick of painting after all that we did in the basement, so we left the walls brown. I wasn't sure about it at first, but I think the dark brown has a cozy, "little boy" feel to it.

I made his bedding since all I could seem to find in terms of toddler bedding had cartoon characters all over it.

I painted this to go above his bed. Afro goose! I love it.

The cardboard moose head- my favorite.

We salvaged this cozy chair from Will's grandpa- I could sleep in it it's so comfy. It has big reupholstery plans in it's future if I can figure out how.

1 week

Little Henry is a big ol' one week old! I don't think he's grown much or changed much in that time. He's basically super easy and just sleeps, eats, and poops (a lot). He thinks bedtime is from 2 am until mid afternoon, so we'll need to work on that, but otherwise he rocks. Will's dad sent a baby pic of Will and it's identical to Henry's. There's not a spec of my features in him so far.

Milo seems to be adjusting well. He mostly ignores Henry, but every once in a while throws a little love or kiss his way. He's pushing his limits a little more lately, but I think that's more from his age than the new baby. He's still a sweet, cuddly little guy. He seems so big and grown up all of a sudden! It makes me a little sad. But basically Milo plus a new baby is 100x easier than Milo as a baby, so we're doing pretty good here at the Radford house. 2 kids is cake, and I couldn't be any happier about our little family of four. I love it so much!

Well that was a fun day...

The delivery went so smooth and easy! I was induced at 37 weeks for pre-eclampsia, and it all went so quick. Loved the hospital, loved the epidural that worked perfectly, love this little guy. He's such a tiny little bug. So sweet, eats like a champ, snuggles up like a little pillbug, and has the highest, shrillest, screamiest, squeakiest cry I've ever heard, though I haven't heard it much yet.

Santa is my Homeboy

There is a lot to learn about Christmas when you're not yet 2 years old and you spent the year before in Florida and it didn't really count. So last week I got some Christmas books and Milo and I started cramming. We've reviewed reindeer, elves, the North Pole, presents, Christmas trees and decorations, and of course, Santa Clause... it's a lot to take in. About a week after I presented his little brain with all this new information, who did we see at the Gateway but Santa himself. Now, anyone who knows Milo knows that he is not the kid to leap into a stranger's lap, so I didn't have huge expectations for a photo op with Santa. But Milo's eyes got all big when he saw him and he was completely mesmerized by the whole Christmas scene- he sat right on Santa's lap without a peep and gave him knuckles. I've never been more proud. It's good to know he's got the Christmas bug this year like I do.

P.S. This was at Discovery Gateway- it was darling and cute and cozy and no one else was there- a million times better than standing in line at the mall. I absolutely recommend it. Plus, Santa had a real beard and smelled like sugar plums. This is going to be the best Christmas EVER.

Bunnies and Eggs

Will here. So I'm finally starting to get some payback from the farm. For the last week and a half we've been getting an egg a day from one of the hens. Its fun, but right now they are about $30 eggs so I make sure to thoroughly enjoy them.

We also got baby rabbits 3 days ago. The first picture below is them 1 day old and the second picture, and the video, are them 3 days old. There are 7 of them and the mom, Simone, seems to be taking good care of them.

Update on the Farm

Just a quick update on the farm. Got the chicken coop all done. Window, paint, everything inside to make any chicken happy. And the rabbits are doing good too. I think we have Simone pregnant, so maybe we'll have bunnies in a week or so.

Fall with the Bean

I can't get enough of this little guy- he's as cute as a button, and playing outside in the leaves just screams for a camera and some fall pictures. I need to get a professional in here that can capture him better than my weenie cybershot (that I don't really know how to use). Here's what came out of a few fall days with mom and dad.
